Gloria Lois Shaw's Obituary
Gloria Lois Ireland Shaw, 100, died April 15 at her home in Annapolis.
Gloria was born and raised in Southern Anne Arundel County.
She was the Secretary and Treasurer of her husband's businesses - Donald H. Shaw Welding and Iron Works and the Annapolis Crane Corporation. Her son, Donald Jr., took over the business upon their retirement.
Gloria loved her family more than anything.
She also loved to work in her yard and garden, read and travel.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald, her father Roland Ireland, and her mother Ruth McCarter, as well as her stepfather Edward McCarter.
She is survived by her three children, Bonnie Shaw Nicholson, Donald H.M. Shaw Jr. and Denise Shaw Christenson; eleven grandchildren, Tracy Gosse, Christina Keiser and Danielle Christenson, Donald H.M. Shaw III, Ian, Eric, Madison and Connor Shaw, Ryan Cook, Natalie Markland and Gloria Pullins; twelve great-grandchildren, Jordan Nicholson, Evan Markland, Maygan and James Gosse, Jacob, Jovanna, Eleni, Caleb, Shayna and Evania Shaw, and Breanna and Taylor Pullins; seven great-great grandchildren, Madison and Charlotte Keiser, Mason and Madalynn Adams, Levi Simmet, Laylah Pullins and Benjamin Markland; and five nieces and nephews, Lynn Dulin, Kathleen Holt, Wendy Brings and John and Greg Weiler.
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake Foundation, John and Cathy Belcher Campus, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122
