Glen Reginald Foster's Obituary
Glen Reginald Foster was born on August 31, 1949, to the late Hazel James (Snowden) and George Foster. He departed this life suddenly on February 13, 2023.
Glen was educated in the Anne Arundel County Public School system and attended Job Corps in Indiana upon leaving school. While attending Job Corps he studied Automotive Services and received multiple certificates of achievement. Upon graduating from Job Corps, he enlisted in the US Army where he received a number of commendations and medals. He began his career with Anne Arundel County Public Schools in 1972 where he became certified in several automotive services, including his Master Mechanic certification. Glen continued to receive numerous certifications and accolades throughout his tenure with the school system.
Glen was an avid lover of seafood, loved to go fishing and enjoyed visits to places such as Dover Downs, Atlantic City and Las Vegas. He also loved spending time with his daughters and grandsons, siblings, and close friends over a good meal. Family time was something he absolutely adored. His love for music, old cars and jewelry are some of the many things he was known for.
In addition to his parents and stepfather Louis Morris Snowden, Glen was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents William and Emma James, sisters Sheila Snowden and Patricia Ann Burke, lifelong friends Vernon “Oatmeal” Johnson and Theodore “Thedo” Parker as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by his former wife Sandra O. Foster and their two daughters Lakeshia Renee Foster and Lisa R. Proctor (Rashid), one son Rashad Snowden, devoted siblings Carolyn Domneys, Carl E. Reynolds, Janice G. Crawford, Michael Duncan, Louis Morris “Melvin” Snowden, Charles Snowden, Hazel G. Snowden, Ruth Webster and Arlene A. Jones, grandchildren Rashid Proctor Jr., Amir Proctor, Amira Snowden, Romyn, Reign and Ramir Snowden, Nyshad Snowden, Riyan Snowden, Rahmija Snowden , Tanijah and Xavier Snowden, Dylan Snowden, devoted companion Cassie Harris and life long friends Steven Brown Sr., Dale Brown, Gerald “ Lump” Parker, Gilford Parker, James “Babe Bro” Edwards, James “Pie Plate” Johnson, goddaughter Verket Randall and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A public viewing will be held from 10-10:30 am on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Second Baptist Church, 1808 Poplar Ave., Annapolis MD 21401 with the wake to begin at 10:30 am and funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place on a future date at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
