Gisela E. Baldivia's Obituary
Gisela Baldivia passed in her sleep on March 8, 2018, at Walter Reed Medical Center. Gisela was born on May 6, 1927, in Wiesbaden, Germany. In 1952, she married Santos Baldivia. After leaving Germany, Gisela and Santos eventually, in 1956, settled in Forestville, Maryland.
Gisela was very active as a volunteer with several groups on Andrews AFB.
Gisela was pre-deceased by her husband, Santos, in 1978. She is survived by her only daughter, Marina Mitchell. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Lisa Bolish, Susan Santos and Michael Mitchell; six great-grandchildren, Stephanie Mitchell, Robert Perdue, Ryan Santos, Collin Santos, Alexis Mitchell and Carly Mitchell and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis MD 21401 from 2 to 4pm. A private burial will be held at a later date at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham MD.
