Georgianna "Georgia" Butler's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Georgianna Butler. Georgianna Butler of Annapolis, MD passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025 at the age of 82. She was affectionately known as Georgia.
Georgia was born in Waterbury, MD on July 24, 1942 to the late Eleanor Diggs Butler and Harry N. Butler.
She worked at Historic Inns of Annapolis until her retirement. Georgia loved spending time with her daughters, grandkids, great-grandkids and family. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and listening to music.
Georgia was preceded in death by her devoted friend Clagiet Dove and 2 sisters, Carolyn "Carol" Butler Spence and Eleanor "Gina" Bishop.
Georgia leaves to cherish her memories, her 3 daughters, Andrea, Lolita and Iris Dove; 2 sisters, Sandra Williams (Robert) and Joyce Stone; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends will be received at Lasting Tributes, 814 Bestgate Rd Annapolis, MD 21401 on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 10 am. A funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment will be at Bestgate Memorial Park.
