I am just now reading of the passing of George Wooley, but I say, as others, would, that he was a giant of a man who contributed immensely to students in Prince George’s County Public Schools as a volunteer. His selfless involvement had a profound impact on students and teachers. He had a life well lived.

To Winnie and the Family, from your Houston Wooley family:
We love you!!!!! We pray with you and for you all in the loss of Cousin George. He will be truly missed. In our communications and visits, we can see the special love y'all have for one another and your Family. Hold onto those precious memories knowing you'll see him again.
We'll cherish the memories and stories of their growing up from our Mom - Willie Cleo Winn, Aunt Eunice Johnson, Elmer (Sy) and Yvonne Wilburn.
We also cherish the visits when y'all came to Houston.
In reading that beautiful tribute we can see how God has blessed you all! As you grieve this major loss, continue to trust God through the process. May He provide y'all with the comfort, strength and time needed to get through this. The beauty in this is that we'll see all our loved ones again. No more sickness and sorrow.
We love you and will be in touch soon....
To Cousin Winnie and Family: Thinking of you today and lifting you up in prayer. May the Lord comfort you as only He can do. May the memories of George sustain you as you walk this difficult path.

My life has been enriched by having the honor or knowing Mr. George Wooley. Both he and Mrs. Wooley kept me encouraged as a young woman in the political arena and was always very supportive.
God bless your family and may you always hold on to the beautiful memories.
To Winnie: Your beloved one, George has departed to a better place. I am sure he will always be remembered. I trust that your persistent, most loving, beautiful memories, and thoughts of him will enable you to peacefully cope with, and overcome the discomfort of your profound loss. Melvin T. Chambers
