George Henry "Johnny" Parkinson, Sr.'s Obituary
George Henry "Johnny" Parkinson Sr. of Chester, MD, age 77, passed away after a long illness on February 22, 2016 in Centreville, MD.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore T. Parkinson and Evelyn Parkinson Bergen (Harry), his first wife, Shirley Rae Drury Parkinson, a brother, Theodore "Teddy" Parkinson, and a sister, Betty J. Roseberry.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica Cantler Parkinson of Chester, MD, his son, George H. Parkinson Jr. (Sherrie) of Annapolis, MD, two daughters, Bonnie Titman (Walter), of Ellenwood, GA and Janet Wood of Jessup, MD, a brother, William Parkinson (Frankie Lee) of Galesville, MD, three sisters, Anna Basil (Frank) of Crofton, MD, Fran Gonzales of Chula Vista, CA, and Joann Langley (Steve) of Chester, MD, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
He was born on October 31, 1938 in Annapolis, MD. He was a painter by trade. He enjoyed watching Nascar, fishing and crabbing, and spending time with his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 between the hours of 6pm and 8pm at Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road Annapolis, MD 21401. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Johnny's life.
