George M. Parker's Obituary
George McArthur Parker was born December 29, 1944, to the late Henry E. Parker and Ruth Hopkins Parker in Harwood, Md. He was the youngest of 9 children. George transitioned this life suddenly on Tuesday September 17, 2024, at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center.
George attended Anne Arundel County public schools. He was a lifelong resident of Galesville, MD residing at the same address for the vast majority of his life.
Prior to his death, George was employed with Shady Oaks Turf Farm where he worked for many years. He was known for his hard work, dedication and his iconic saying “beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!” He was a simple, humble, kind, and compassionate man.
George was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Parker. They shared one daughter Tarita Parker, and three sons Gerald Mack (deceased) John Green and Henry Parker. He shared a special bond with Clifton Parker, his nephew who resided with him. Later in life he married Kimberly Morgan and from that union were three children, Kareem Parker, Keeshua Parker and Korey Parker (deceased).
Also preceding him in death were all of his siblings, Dorothy L. Jacobs, Mary B. Tongue, Charles E. Parker, Alice B. Sharps, Calvin E. Parker, Albert Parker, Ruth D. Brown, and Henry L. Parker.
Along with his children, George is survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Della Parker and two brothers-in-law, Samuel E. Sharps and William Brown in addition to a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, extended family & friends. George will be deeply missed.
