George Richard Johnson II's Obituary
George Richard Johnson II was born in Washington DC, on November 18th, 1954 to the late George Johnson, Sr and Alice Watkins. He was called home to glory on December 6, 2020.
George “Junior” as he was fondly called, was the father of four children, sixteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. George was a retired veteran with an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps. He then went on to be a skilled electrician for many years working for Ferguson and many other companies.
Junior was the life of the party; he loved to dance and make jokes. Junior particularly loved his Dallas Cowboys, football was his thing and talking crap with his best buddy Wade Hayes. Most important of all you know he loved himself some Clara (annabug) the love of his life.
George is survived by his wife Clara Johnson, four sisters: Barbara Hamilton, Beverly Johnson, Jacqulyn Spriggs and Sheila Parker; one brother, Jerome Hamilton; four children: Shawnta Johnson, Jessie Johnson, Jermaine Johnson, Jameka Johnson, sixteen grandchildren, one great granddaughter and twelve step-grandchildren.
George is proceeded in death by his Dad, George Richard Johnson, Sr., mother, Alice Edwards Watkins and son George Richard Johnson III.
