I worked with Bud at Western Union in Upper Saddle River in the microwave radio expansion department in the 1970's. He was always a smiling ray of light in the department even in difficult times when the company management couldn't decide what kind of business it wanted to be! I lost touch with Bud shortly after I departed Western Union but never forgot what a class act he was! I wish his wife and daughters blessings and all in life that is good.

I only got the chance to spend time with Mr. Doherty twice, but every time I saw him, he had a smile on his face. When I think of him, I'll always remember the look of love and admiration he had for all four of his ladies. He was a wonderful and generous man who I'm fortunate to have known. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Doherty's.
With love,
Emily, Jeffrey, and Rory Grant
Bud Doherty is a kind, warm and gentle man who prioritized his family above everything in his life. He would share story after story expressing pride in his wife and daughters. Bud and I worked together over 25 years ago at Western Union and then several years later at Tellabs. He is a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

Bud and I were often at odds on products and services, while he was at Fujitsu, but I always thought of him as a class act. After the business was completed we often had a few moments to catch up on family and friends. His pride in his family was another quality I admired in Bud. My condolence to Bud's wife and Daughters.
