Eugene "Gene" Shuttle, Jr.'s Obituary
Eugene Edwin Shuttle, Jr. “Gene” died peacefully at home with his family on May 23, 2023, at the age of 63. After beating oral cancer three times, Gene succumbed to complications from radiation.
Gene was born on July 12, 1959, to parents Eugene Shuttle, Sr., and Dolores Shuttle. He grew up in Glenside, PA where he attended and graduated from La Salle College High School. A few years later, he met the love of his life, Anita, and they married on June 2, 1984.
Gene had a successful career in business management, receiving countless awards and impacting many through his leadership. When he wasn’t working, Gene enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, canoeing, and swimming, as well as vacationing in the Pocono Mountains and Pompano Beach, Florida. He loved listening to music, especially classic rock and funk. Gene was a very smart and resourceful man who could build and repair anything.
Gene is survived by his wife, Anita Shuttle of Crofton, MD; his children, Eugene Shuttle, III (Christine) of Annapolis, MD, Alyssa Shuttle of Annapolis, MD, and Austin Shuttle of Crofton, MD; and siblings, Robert Shuttle of Lansdale, PA, Dina Bicakcioglu of Newtown, PA, and Marleis Giangiulio of Haddonfield, NJ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Shuttle, Sr., and Dolores Shuttle.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, located at 1800 Seton Drive, Crofton, MD 21114. There will be a visitation from 10:00 am – 11:00 am and mass will be held at 11:00 am.
