Elizabeth Marie Queen's Obituary
Elizabeth Marie Queen of Glen Burnie, MD died on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at her home. She was 68.
Elizabeth M. Queen was born on March 10, 1942 in Annapolis, MD to the late, Thomas Queen and Santonia Green Thomas. She graduated class of 1961, from Wiley Bates High School. Ms. Queen worked locally as a house keeper; starting with the Hilton in the 1970’s. She later worked with Howard Johnson’s through the 1980’s and later for the North Arundel Health and Rehabilitation Center in Glen Burnie.
Ms. Queen will be remembered for her enjoyment of shopping, talking with friends and family over the phone, cooking, crossword puzzles, assisting others and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children, Jerraine L. Fuller and husband, Howard, Antonio Queen and wife, Laverne; brothers, Thomas W. Queen, George Thomas and wife Tammy, Thomas R. Queen and Phillip Queen and wife Rosemary; sisters Ada Queen, Delores Queen and Carry Queen; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; best friend Sarah Thomas and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers, Wiley Merrill, Richard Queen and Thedas Bass.
Funeral Services will be held at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care, P.A. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11am. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be held in Bestgate Memorial Park immediately following the funeral services.
