Elizabeth Flowers Latham-Patton's Obituary
Elizabeth Flowers Latham-Patton passed away at her home in Annapolis, MD on May 15, 2016. She was 58.
Elizabeth was born in Harrisburg, PA and was raised in New Cumberland, PA. She graduated from Cedar Cliff High School, class of 1976. Afterwards, she received a degree from Harcum College before attending Penn State University.
Elizabeth was a past member of the Junior League of Annapolis which is a volunteer-based prestigious women’s organization that helped the community in a variety of ways. She began her careers in marketing and real estate, before finding her true passion - working with the elderly at the Office on Aging in Calvert County, MD.
Elizabeth was an avid horseback rider, a creative artist, and animal lover – especially cats. She also loved traveling, cheering at Navy football games on Saturdays and yelling at the Steelers on Sundays. She was incredibly funny and an all-around generous woman with an infectious laugh who will be remembered as someone who always went out of her way to make everyone around her feel comfortable and loved.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald James Patton, who she married on June 12, 1999 at the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel. In addition to her husband of nearly 17 years, she is survived by her mother Marianna Flowers of Mechanicsburg, PA and two daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Latham of Philadelphia, PA and Kathryn Flowers Latham of Alexandria, VA who were her world and the true loves of her life. She is also survived by three step-children, Amy Lynn, Sherri Ann, and Scott Donald Patton, and her three sisters; Marianna Bruton of Bronxville, NY, Julia Hager of Reading, PA and Nancy Flowers of Lake Ann, MI.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 20th from 3pm to 5pm with a service starting at 5pm at Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD. Inurnment will be held on June 17th at 11am at the U.S. Naval Academy Columbarium in Annapolis, MD.
