Elice was a faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where she worshipped her risen Lord and Savior each Sunday for the last 11 years. I took delight in greeting her each Lord's Day -- regardless of any strife or difficulty she faced, she arrived with a smile. My children loved seeing "Ms. Elice" and enjoyed her affection. She had a love for her fellow members at Trinity, particularly her sisters in Christ, and the youth were fond of helping her with her garden on service days.
Her passing brings us sorrow, though we rejoice that she is with the Lord. I will miss seeing her, hearing her laugh, and listening to her stories of God's faithfulness throughout her life. Rest in peace, Elice.
I have known Elise for almost 30 years. I met her at the magical OLNEY farm, where we became enamored of dressage , and Herbie and myself and storm warning had many adventures showing, learning, and communing with our horses. Elice taught me the difference between a shoulder in and a leg yield, which, for some reason was difficult for me to understand until Elice explained it ! horse friends are forever, and Elice I were a member of a magical tribe of horse folk at Olney throughout those special times.
Best memory was Elise’s trailer which she drove and was the best trailering partner ever. Elise brought water from our farm, so our horses would not be upset with having to drink different water at a different farm! On one occasion on our trailer, sort of jackknifed and we had to get a tractor to pull the trailer out of the mud and get Herbie and storm off the trailer. What an adventure I will always remember these wonderful times in which we bonded forever. Rest in peace Elice a job well done in this dimension. Namaste’
