Edwin Philip Fee's Obituary
June 10, 2023, Edwin Philip Fee, 82, of Arnold Maryland, passed away peacefully at home with his children lovingly by his side.
Edwin was born on November 26, 1940, in Renova, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Saint Monica Catholic High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic in 1957. He served four years with duty stations in numerous states and overseas and was honorably discharged in 1961. He joined the Glendora Police Department in California in 1962 serving nine years earning the rank of Sergeant. He then worked numerous jobs while earning his law degree. After graduating law school he started his career in Insurance and retired after more than 30 years as an Insurance Executive in the legal consult division in Maryland.
Edwin was an avid golfer and a strong supporter of multiple charity fundraising golf events. He was a long-time participant and supporter of “Brave the Shave” St. Baldrick’s Foundation events designed to help raise funds for children’s cancer research.
He is survived by his two children, his daughter Debra Fee Wingfield and son Michael Fee both of Appomattox, Virginia. Additionally, he is survived by his daughter in law Nanhui Fee, his four grandchildren: Brooke, Brandon, Daniel and Dylan; six great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his loving sister Patricia (Pattie) Fee Komai, and nieces Kayce and Hannah who affectionately refer to him as “Uncle Buddy”.
In addition, Edwin is survived by a multitude of friends who affectionately refer to him as “Uncle Ed” within the O’Loughlin’s gang (Arnold, MD) who is considered extended family with special acknowledgment to Tom Suit.
Edwin is preceded in death by his Mother Jene Edmonds Fee Guild, Stepfather Bartlett Paine Guild, and his brother Michael Gene Fee.
Edwin’s last wishes will be completed by his children by carrying him home to California to join his family in a private ceremony to release his ashes in a beautiful place overlooking what he called “home”.
