Edelvis Eugene Hayes Sr.'s Obituary
On Sunday, April 9, 2023, in Annapolis, Maryland Edelvis Eugene Hayes, Sr, fondly known as “Tony”---went home to be with the Lord. He was the son of the late Perry Hayes Jr. and Gilda Hayes. Tony was born in Annapolis, Maryland on March 13, 1963. He obtained his high school diploma from Annapolis High School.
Tony always knew being an entrepreneur was in his future. He loved trying new business ventures and traveling. Tony also loved being around family and friends and was always the life of the party. This world was forever changed by Tony’s presence and lasting impression. You cannot help but smile and share a fond memory when someone says his name “Tony Hayes”. His legacy will live on through the endless memories of those who were blessed enough to know him.
Rejoicing to see him are his parents Gilda and Perry Hayes Jr., Grandmother Montray Hayes, Grandfather Perry Hayes Sr., Brothers Allen Hayes, John Diggs, Ervin Hayes, and sister Francine Hayes-Wilkerson.
Tony’s memories will continue to live on in the hearts of his former wife Veronica Hayes, Son: Edelvis Hayes Jr., Daughter: Talaya Hayes (Keyonna), Grandchildren: Amijae, Kamora, & Jamir Hayes, Brothers: Perry Hayes III, (Glen Burnie, MD), Craig Wright (Nina) (Grasonville, MD), and Mickell Hayes (Glen Burnie, MD), Sister Giltina Matthews (George) (Glen Burnie, MD), Sister-in-law Angela Hayes (Arnold, MD), Aunts: Doris Brewer (William) (Annapolis, MD), Evelyn Jones (Annapolis, MD) Uncle: Wade Hayes Sr. (Barbara) (Glen Burnie, MD) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Additionally, he was particularly close to his cousin Marvin Mitchell, whom he loved like a brother.
The Hayes family are extremely grateful for the many acts of kindness that have been extended to us after the passing of our loved one. Your prayers, calls, and expressions of love have helped to sustain us in our moment of sadness. May God Bless each of you continually and shower his favor upon you.
