Dorsey Franklin Potter's Obituary
Dorsey Franklin "Frankie" Potter, age 84, of Annapolis, Maryland passed peacefully from this earth on Thursday, December18th. Frankie spent his childhood in Cambridge, Maryland and later moved to and retired in Annapolis, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his wife Alberta "Chere" Potter. He was survived by his sister, Patsy Foxwell of Cambridge Maryland; sons Rick Potter of Woodbridge, Virginia; Bob Potter of Charleston, South Carolina; and daughters Bonnie Rhoads, of Manassas, Virginia; and Beth Potter of Vicenza, Italy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all. He was an active member of the Annapolis Church of Christ and spent many hours volunteering for the state archives in Annapolis, Maryland. He loved his church, his children and spent countless hours on the bay. His hobbies included genealogy, history, crabbing and fishing, and observing and appreciating nature. A service will be held at the Annapolis Church of Christ on Sunday, December 21 at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Annapolis Church of Christ; 1601 Ritchie Hwy, Arnold, MD, 21012.
