Dorothy "Dot" Stein's Obituary
Dorothy "Dot" Lorraine Stein, nee Hysan, of Annapolis, Maryland and Indialantic, Florida, passed away peacefully at home Sept. 13, 2021. Dot died of natural causes following a four-month illness. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Ralph Stein and three children, Lorraine “Lori” Phelan, James “Jim” Stein and Helen Stewart; two sons-in-law, Michael “Mike” Phelan and Gregory “Greg” Stewart; four grandchildren, Allison and Craig Phelan and Thomas and Matthew Stewart; two granddaughters-in-law, Meg Phelan and Meghan Stewart; and two great-grandchildren, Piper and Murphy Phelan.
Dot was born Jan. 31, 1940, in Washington, DC, where she was raised and graduated from Bladensburg High School.
Among her interests were enjoying cruises, reading, the beach, peonies and following her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on social media.
A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Burial is private.
