Dorothea Boston's Obituary
Dorothea Marie Boston, affectionately known as “Nanny” to many, was born on June 5, 1948, in Mayo Maryland to the late Sylvester and Sarah Quarrels. Dorothea answered Gods call and passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024. Dorothea received her education through Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She worked at Café Normandie in Downtown Annapolis for many years. On February 27, 1967, she married her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life, Timothy W. Boston, who passed away on June 12, 2021. They were married for 53 years.
Two sons preceded her in death, Timothy C. Boston (Bean) and Curtis Boston (Opie); and Two brothers, Louis Watkins (Jed) and Sylvester Quarrels Jr. (Pickie).
She leaves to cherish her memories, a son Michael Boston Sr., five grandsons whom she cherished, Timothy Boston Jr. (BJ), Javon Boston (Jay), Michael Boston Jr., Elijah Boston and Mathais Boston. Sister, Darlene Thomas (Raymond), devoted niece, Marlo Thomas; loving great nephew and niece, Wayne and Cora Hebron. Nanny and Cora were always at the car wash or Dollar Tree. At Bayforest Apartments she had a best friend and check-in buddies, Ms. Linda and a niece, Geraldine Jones. She is survived by a host of other family and friends. Rest on Sis, we love you!
