Donte J. DeJesus Jr.'s Obituary
Donte Jerron DeJesus Jr., affectionately known as “Dee,” passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 20. Born on September 4, 2005, in Annapolis, Maryland, to Donte DeJesus Sr. and Shada Harris, Dee was a radiant presence whose laughter, kindness, and vibrant spirit left an imprint on everyone blessed to know him.
Dee was a young man full of drive, ambition, and purpose. He was a true go-getter, balancing his career as an electrician while furthering his education at Morgan State University. He also earned his certification in HVAC, always making sure he was building a strong and stable future for himself. Dee took pride in doing things the right way and was intentional about his life, making smart decisions and setting himself up for long-term success.
But more than anything, Dee was him. He was goofy, full of personality, and always thinking outside the box. He had a way of making people laugh when they needed it most, and his energy was something you just had to experience. He naturally motivated and inspired the people around him without even trying. If you were close to him, you felt it.
Dee had a deep love for music and was beginning to step into his own as an artist, recently filming a music video as he worked toward his goals. He also loved to travel and experience new things, always wanting more out of life.
His greatest pride and the love of his life was his five month old daughter, Denver. Becoming a father changed him for the better, and he poured so much love into her. His love for her was deep, unwavering, and anyone who knew Dee could see how much she meant to him.
Dee is survived by his devoted parents, Shada Harris and Donte DeJesus Sr.; his beloved daughter, Denver DeJesus; and his loving girlfriend, Chelsea Bridges. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Yvette Harris and Brian Harris, and his paternal grandparents, Chief Fidel and Mary DeJesus; aunts, Keshia DeJesus Hogue (Chris), DeAundra Monique DeJesus, Stetra Jones, and Brandee Harris; and uncles, Camacho Harris and Tormarco Harris. He shared a special bond with his cousin, Nasir, who was like a brother to him in every way. He will be lovingly remembered by a host of extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by his warmth and generosity.
Dee’s life was full of love, laughter, and purpose. Although his time here was far too short, the impact he made will last forever. He will live on through his daughter, his family, and everyone who carries his memory in their heart.
