My father was a Redskins season ticket holder for over 40 years. He thoroughly enjoyed going to the Redskin games and participated in the talegate festivities. He even had an opportunity to go to the Super Bowl in 1982. He also, loved all kinds of sports, football, basketball, baseball and golf to name a few.
I'm so glad I had an opportunity to have a special relationship with my dad. We talked about everything, especially sports, politics as well as stories about Viet Nam, as well was him working at Cental High School, teaching the kids about Aero space and working at the Verizon Center. He was extremely active and loved to hand dance. He also loved telling jokes.
Two days before my father passed. He had his nurse call me and he told me that he didn't think he was going to pull through this ordeal. He then asked me to pray with him. We prayed the sinner's prayer together and he accepted the Lord
Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He told me he was not afraid to die.
I rejoice with my dad knowing he is not suffering any longer nor is he in any pain. I'm going to miss him very much. My heart is very sad knowing, I won't be able to laugh and talk with him. But I rejoice knowing, I will see him again.
You've fought a good fight, your course is now finish. Now, rest in peace. Love Hutty
