Diane Doris Shurtleff's Obituary
Diane Shurtleff, 72, of Annapolis, MD passed away peacefully on August 7th surrounded by family after a short illness. Diane’s life anchored around two things: family and friends.
Family: Diane spent her early years in New England surrounded by a large Irish family of grandparents, siblings many aunts, uncles and cousins. Diane and her husband Jon were high school sweethearts who had been married for 53 years. Together they raised a daughter, Kendra, and enjoyed having Ken join the family as a son-in-law. The crowning moment for Diane was the arrival of her granddaughters, Caitlin and Erin.
Friends: Diane cherished her friendships, developing them at each stage of her life, with most of these lasting her entire life. Diane would regularly express how grateful she was to have lived a life full of wonderful experiences as well as a loving family, many good friends and compassionate caregivers.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband Jon, Daughter Kendra (Ken) and granddaughters Caitlin and Erin, who will never forget the love that she brought to their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank www.aafood bank.org/donate
