Diane Victoria Johnson's Obituary
Diane Victoria Johnson was born on December 28th, 1946, to the late Stephen A. Johnson and Roberta E. Johnson. Diane departed this life on Wednesday July 20th, 2022, after a lengthy illness at University of Maryland hospital in Baltimore, MD.
Diane received her education in the Anne Arundel County School system. She graduated from Annapolis High School in1966. She was employed at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater, MD for several years, after that she went to work at the United States Naval Academy for which she worked for 30 years until her retirement in 2006. Diane enjoyed eating crabs, traveling shopping, cooking, watching her favorite tv shows, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a very sweet fun-loving person who lived her life to the fullest and she had a heart of gold.
Diane is preceded in death by both of her parents, two sisters, four brothers.
She is survived by her husband; Richard Johnson, two daughters; Stephanie Rockingham, and Gwendolyn Johnson, a sister; Jean Siscoe, three grandchildren; Janae Franklin, Raenekia Rockingham, and Rayshawn Rockingham. Two great-grandchildren; Kaylen Wesby and Kaylei Wesby, three special dogs; Cuddles, Teddy, and Coco, a godson; Troy Queen, a special son-like nephew, Cody Henson, an aunt; Mildred Pitts, a brother in-law; Melvin Johnson, four sister in-laws; Janice Queen, Rose Parker, Arthenia Laflore, and Janette Anderson, and two devoted best friends; Ida Wells and Juletha Hill. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
