Diana Peck Mehl's Obituary
Diana Peck Mehl, 54, of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, surrounded by her family. Diana was born on December 9, 1970, in Albany, Georgia, to Glen and Nancy Peck.
In 1972, her father left the Navy and moved the family to Louisiana, where she grew up. Most of those years were spent in Baton Rouge, where Diana made numerous lifelong friends, became a devoted LSU fan, and probably thought she would spend the rest of her life there. Little did she know, God had other plans.
In 1988, the family embarked on a new journey and moved to Annapolis. While a student at UMBC, Diana met, fell in love with, and married her husband, Theodore Mehl. Together they had two children and built a wonderful life in Annapolis.
A graduate of UMBC, Diana had a full career in accounting until she and her family decided to take a leap of faith and became owners and operators of two Smoothie King franchises in 2021. Diana put her heart and soul into Smoothie King—just as she did with everything she cared about.
Known for her contagious smile, her quick wit, and her dance moves, Diana brought light into every room she entered and into the lives of everyone she met. She loved her family, her friends, and football—in that order!
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Glen Arnold Peck and Nancy Mills Peck. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Theodore Mehl; their children, Michael and Sarah Mehl; her sister, Lori Herrod; her niece, Gabrielle Whitfield; as well as beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held at Lasting Tributes on October, 18, 2025 from 3-4 pm until the beginning of her Celebration of Life service at 4 pm.
