Diana V. Fisher's Obituary
Diana Viriginia Fisher passed on to our Holy Father’s house on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at home after a brief illness. She was born on September 28, 1952 in Baltimore, MD to Clarice Virginia Cromwell Edwards.
Diana was well known in the Annapolis area. She was known as Diane until her forties, when she discovered that her name at birth was Diana. She was also known as Lady D, mom, and grandma.
Diana loved her family and enjoyed gathering with them, and good friends. She was committed to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, sharing meals and fellowshipping with everyone. Diana had a great passion for bowling and making porcelain dolls!
Diana was employed mostly in the clerical field and retired as a Juvenile Court Clerk from the State of Maryland.
Diana leaves behind her loving husband Robert C. Fisher, Sr. after more than 36 years of marriage; her dearly loved children Anthony Williams, Robert Fisher, Jr., and Kimberly Blake. Her loved siblings include George Matthews, Sr. (Giltina), Gaye Cotton, Kevin Jackson (Cynthia), Mark Jackson, and Tonya Jackson; mother-in-law Rachel M. Fisher Boston, sisters-in-law Paulette, Deneice, Janalee, and Valtina Fisher; brothers-in-law Leron (Marcella), Kerwin, and Eric Fisher.
Diana was preceded in death by her daughter Jonelle Blake and son Raynard Fisher. She was also preceded in death by her great aunt Rose Tolson (George) who raised her, and mother Clarice Viriginia Cromwell Edwards; and her sibling Michael C. Jackson, Sr.
Treasuring her memory are devoted and caring friends Gwendolyn Cook, Angelia Page, and Deborah Kent, and loving aunt Vivian Hayes.
Today, we remember Diana, giving thanks to God and sharing the joy of having shared her life. She meant something special to each of us. Diana was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and more. She was kind, caring, generous, compassionate, committed, and the list goes on and on. We all share something in common—her presence will be dearly missed. Diana will be loved and remembered “always.” In the Spirit, she will live forever.
