This morning I was beginning to research places to get my braces put back on and I searched Dr. Brown because he was my orthodontist while he was in dental school. It saddens me to read about his passing. He had such a beautiful soul and I remember that from over 20 yrs ago. Condolences to to everyone affected by this🙏🏽
Dr. Brown was my orthodontist. I was looking up his information this morning to refer him to someone else and I came across this page! RIP NUPE!
Dr. Brown gave my two children Allan and Anna their first job. He was more than our Orthodontist. He was a caring man, who cared and exemplified this in tangible ways. His signature smile will always be remembered. The Hickson family would like to extend our sincere condolences to Dr. Brown's family. Gone way, way too soon!
I just learned about Dr. Brown's death yesterday and my family and I couldn't believe it. We had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Brown on a professional level however he was such a beautiful soul that he made you feel like family! It saddened me to know that such a young, wonderful human being is no longer among us. I pray for his eternal peace and God's love and peace over his lovely wife and children! God be with you all!
Mr. Brown was so young ... I don't even want to say Dr because he was so involved with my well-being rather than just caring about my terrible teeth that he wasn't just any regular dental doctor . He made the experience at that dental office feel like you are entering your home. He welcomed you like family. I remember all the nice things he would tell me, give me encouragement in school and basketball throughout elementary and middle school . He just overall truly cared . Like when I go to the dental office I feel I am at home I remember entering the bowie location and having the video games & tv on the left of the office when my mom would take hours to come pick me and my brother up after appointments . I didn't care though because I was home . I could continue but truly he was an honorable man. Was a huge inspiration to me growing up and although I am not interested in dentistry he paved the way for my brother who wants to be a dentist because of him and just helped me realize what it takes to be a man. Dr. Brown was a great, professional man. I was his patient a little over ten years ago. No matter the time, I will always remember his means of working with me in between my crazy, college/work schedule. In his eyes, achieving my winning smile was important. RIP Dr. Brown...peace and blessings to your family.
I'm sad and in shock. My orthodontist has transitioned and I will miss him.

Dr. Brown was my mother's, brother's and my orthodontist. He was always so positive and one of the first young black professionals that I ever knew. Inspired us to keep doing well in school and shoot for the stars. He literally gave me a winning smile - his care led me to win my HBCU's campus queen pageant and to be featured in Ebony Magazine. I have since left the DC area, but Dr. Brown will always have a special place in our hearts. He will be sincerely missed. My deepest condolences to the family. Thank you for sharing him with us and positively impacting our community.

Dr. Brown, your transition has been a hard pill to swallow. You have been my son's orthodontist since he was 7 - Keith is now 18. Your work spoke for itself....the first thing everyone notices about Keith is his smile and I ALWAYS made sure to attribute it to YOU. You will be sorely missed, not just because of your profession, but because of the wonderful person you were. Rest Easy Doc.

He was our daughter's orthodontist for only around six months before he passed. But, our family is thankful for having been served by Dr. Brown and his staff. He made my young daughter feel very comfortable. I loudly echo other comments I've seen about his warm and gracious smile. He was very kind and knowledgeable and I can only imagine the broader impact he had on our community and beyond -- based on the truly positive impact he had on our family while treating my daughter over such a short period of time.
