Delores Ellis' Obituary
Delores Jeanette Ellis, 71 passed away peacefully on Saturday September 21, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was born March 18, 1948 in Semora, NC to Richard and Bertha Pearl Evans. Delores (Lois) and her family relocated to the Washington DC area when she was a young child. She attended and graduated from Spingarn High School and attended Prince George’s Community College.
She met and married the late Aubrey C. Ellis (May 15 2018) December 16, 1967 and they have three children. Delores worked for Western Union Telegraph Company in the tariff department, she retired in 1980. Delores loved to cook and cater for her family and friends but her real passion was her family, she absolutely loved and adored her three children, grandchildren, great grandson and all of the neighborhood kids. Delores had an open door policy to any child that needed a place to stay or food to eat. Delores was a caregiver to everyone.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children Hope, Aubrey M., and Ian, her mother Bertha P Evans, eight grandchildren Jordon, Daniel, Aja, Eryn, Ayanna, Eve, Brianna, and Natalie, one great grandchild Aiden, one sister Gertrude Botts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
