David Edward Hulbert's Obituary
David Edward Hulbert, 63, passed away on August 20, 2024, in Lexington Park, MD. Born on December 14, 1960, in Pennsylvania, David was the beloved son of Edward John Hulbert, Sr. and Theresa Patella Hulbert, both of whom have preceded him in death.
David is survived by his siblings: a twin brother and sister, Daniel Douglas Hulbert & Donna Diane Wallingsford, her husband Emil Wallingsford, his other sister Catherine Louise Hulbert, and other brother Edward John Hulbert, Jr., and his wife Lisa Hulbert. David was also a proud and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews: Shane, Jennifer, Philip, and Jessica, the children of Edward and Lisa Hulbert.
David attended Bladensburg High School in Bladensburg, MD. After high school, he pursued a career as a car and small engine mechanic and later owned and operated New Image Home Improvement for several years. He eventually returned to his roots as a mechanic to conclude his career.
David’s greatest joy was spending time with the love of his life, Anna Huffman. He was an avid enthusiast of tinkering with his Chevelle and enjoyed riding dirt bikes, ATVs, and go-karts. He also had passion for working in the yard, gardening, boating, and going for long rides on his Honda Goldwing motorcycle. However, he was known most for his sharp wit and sense of humor. David was always ready with a quick comeback and loved friendly banter.
David was deeply committed to his family, always there for every one of them and going out of his way to help others, even those he didn’t know. His kindness and generosity were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Lasting Tributes Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401, on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 3-5 p.m. A service will follow immediately after the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in David Hulbert’s name be made to The American Heart Association (heart.org/donate). David’s humor, love, and generosity will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
