Daniel Carl White's Obituary
Surrounded by his loving family, Daniel “Danny” Carl White (62) passed away at Anne Arundel Medical Center as a result of battling COVID-19.
Danny was born April 6, 1959 and grew up in Clinton Md the son of Charles Randolph White (late) and Betty Leona (Palmer) White (late) and the youngest of 8 children. Being the youngest of 8 taught him for one…determination. Determined Danny walked three miles up hill both ways in the snow to attend Surrattsville High School. He admittedly shared stories of all the pranks he pulled around the school and boasted being able to get away with them because he was a proud player on the football team. Determined Defensive Tackle he was also. His love for pranks and jokes followed him through life with his kids who often referred to them as “Dads Corny Jokes of the Day”.
Following high school his love of cars led him to Lincoln Tech where he studied automotive repair. Danny’s gregarious nature, mechanical genius and general resourcefulness helped him succeed as the business owner of White’s Automotive Repair in Glenn Dale MD for 30 years.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Danny. He loved the casino, a night out with friends, becoming an expert on tequila, swimming in the pool with his grandkids, searching deals on Amazon. He and his wife loved to travel anywhere sunny and inviting with frequent trips to Puerta Vallarta and their vacation place near the Gulf in Florida. His favorite places also included Sam’s Club, any golf course and Home Depot. The latter because if there was a project to be done, Danny was your guy! HGTV was a favorite on a short-list of watched television shows. His talent for home improvement made every underestimated project timeline worth the wait.
Danny was an amazing man, loving husband, adoring father and committed friend. His pleasant personality was contagious leaving him memorable to most. He will be sorely missed by his wife Denise; 6 children: William (Buddy), Stephanie, Amanda, DeAnne, Brandon and Larissa; 7 grandchildren and a great-grandson; 2 sisters Rose (Bunny) and Cecilia (Ceily); 2 brothers James (Jimmy) and Joseph (Chris). He was preceded in death by his sister Janet (Penny), 2 brothers Charles Jr. (Chuck) and Frederick (Freddy) and his son Daniel Jr (DJ).
The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring doctors, nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Anne Arundel Medical Center for their tireless efforts to battle this devastating virus.
