Stefani O'dea
I first met Danny in the 1990s. His journey following his brain injury was a challenging one. His experience, along that that of his peers, is the reason Maryland's Brain Injury Waiver exists so we have him to thank for that.
Through the past few decades, it has been wonderful to see him settle in to a comfortable life. He was fortunate to have a supportive family as well as the services he needed.
I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to visit him recently to say good-bye. As I looked around his home, there were so many signs that he was well cared for and well loved including the interactions of the staff with him, the many pictures around his home of he and his roommates enjoying life, and signs of great support from his family.
Rest in peace Danny. I'm grateful to have known you.
