Damaris Taffanelli Marti's Obituary
My mom, Damaris Taffanelli Marti, lovingly known as “Taffa,” passed away on January 5th, 2026, at the age of 52. She was born in Puerto Rico and lived a life filled with love, faith, strength, and selflessness.
Anyone who knew my mom knew that her whole world was her daughters. She was a mama bear to the fullest—fiercely loving, protective, and endlessly devoted. Being our mother wasn’t just something she did; it was who she was. Everything she gave, every sacrifice she made, was rooted in her love for us.
My mom was known for her kind heart and selfless spirit. She was always helping others, often without hesitation or expectation of anything in return. She was strong-willed, determined, and resilient, facing life’s challenges with courage and grace. Above all, she was a woman of deep faith, trusting God wholeheartedly and leaning on Him through every season of her life.
She found joy in caring for others, decorating and creating beautiful spaces, and loving her doggie granddaughter, Mia, who brought her so much happiness and comfort.
My mom is survived by her two daughters, Nicolle and Mariam and her husband, Hector, who meant everything to her. Our family was her greatest pride and her greatest blessing.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that my mom is now at peace, resting in God’s loving arms. Her legacy of love, faith, strength, and generosity will continue to live on through us and through everyone whose life she touched.
