Daisy Elizabeth Brown's Obituary
Daisy Elizabeth Brooks Brown was born on December 14, 1923 to the late Daisy and Charles Brooks, Sr. of Davidsonville, MD. Elizabeth departed this life on March 6, 2014 peacefully at home after a brief illness.
Elizabeth was educated at the Davidsonville School. Her early employment was at the Ralph J. Bunch School as their cafeteria manager. Later she was employed at the Crownsville State Hospital in the housekeeping department.
She met and married the late Robert Arthur Brown Jr. on January 11, 1945. They were married for 42 years until his passing on May 16, 1987. From this union one child was born: Faith Brown-Tiggett.
Elizabeth
attended Union Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a member of the senior choir and communion stewardess. She would later become a watch care member at First Christian Community Church of Annapolis, MD, where she became a member of the choir and later would serve on the Altar Guild until she become ill.
She was a member of Chews United Choir founded by the late Thomas Brown and the Chews United Methodist Church Nurses Unit. Elizabeth’s other affiliations included: Jr. & Sr. Community Club, Triangle Community Club, and The Ralph J. Bunche Community Center.
Her interests first were being committed to Jesus, attending various church programs, baking cakes for family and friends, knitting, watching T.V. and spending time with family and friends.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sisters: Rosie and Julia and two brothers: Charles Jr. and James. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Faith Brown-Tiggett (Erwin); sister, Mary Wilson (Billy); and a host of nieces, nephews’, family and friends.
