Cynthia A. Wilson's Obituary
Cynthia A. Wilson (nee Benner), 81, of Centreville, Maryland, passed away October 15, 2024 after a four year illness. She was grateful for the gift of time and found joy in every day.
Cindy was born on August 2, 1943 in Baltimore Maryland. She raised her children in Bowie and later Annapolis, Maryland.
Her first job was as an Operator for C&P Telephone; she worked for the Anne Arundel County Court in the Domestic Relations Division and was an Office Manager for SnapWall Inc.
In 2000, Cindy married William “Buzz” Wilson. Cindy and Buzz enjoyed many adventures boating on the Chesapeake Bay, travelling in their RV and spending time together at their place in Ocean City, Maryland.
Cindy was an award winning Artist whose paintings will be treasured by her family for generations to come. She loved working in her garden and had created a beautiful sanctuary that attracted many species of birds and lots of frogs. Anytime we see a Humming bird or a Chick-a-Dee we will think of her.
Cindy was predeceased by her mother Mildred Benner and sister Sharon O’Meara. She is survived by her husband Buzz Wilson, children Kelly Sloskey (David), Stacy Early (Dan), Jill Royston (Zack), Shane Wilson (Shelly), Shannon Hamshey (Scott), sister Debby Harris, brother Wayne Benner (Leah). Grandchildren Ben Sloskey, Kristen Sloskey, Jason Price (Mallory), Alissa Price, Evan Royston, Drew Wilson (Morgan), Dylan Wilson, Hailey Hamshey, Samantha Hamshey.
Cindy was previously married to Wallace Timmons, father of their daughters Kelly, Stacy and Jill.
Visitation will be held at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis Maryland 21401, on Sunday October 27, 2024 from 2 pm - 4:30 pm with Cindy's eulogy being read at 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
