Clifton Lewis' Obituary
Clifton Lewis, affectingly known as (Pops) age 78, resident of Annapolis, MD peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord, while surrounded by his family on November 18, 2016 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Clifton was a hard worker and successful entrepreneur always challenging himself and helping others to succeed. He founded and operated his roofing company for several years in the state of Maryland. He was a selfless person known for his generosity, joyful heart and sense of humor. His hobbies included building houses, tearing down walls and remodeling. One of his favorite places to visit was the “Home Depot” and Johnson Lumber Company in search of his new demolition.
Clifton loved his family and all of the people he met along the way. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He was a dedicated member of Fowlers United Methodist Church, serving humbly and faithfully to support the mission of the church. “One Day at a Time” was his favorite song and personal testimony.
Clifton leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife Elizabeth of 53 years of marriage; 8 children: Rhonda Lewis-Smith (Earl), Lena Spark Anderson (Robert), Clifton Lewis (Juanita), Lisa Isom (Roger), Kathy Nock (Eric), Tony Lewis (Maria), Latitia Lewis, and Mike Lewis; four sisters: Patricia Brown, Glendora Colbert, Vivian Hayes, and Evelyn Lewis; 13 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter Arabella (mother Patricia), 5 sisters-in-law; Inez Woodland, Joanne Taylor, Cynthia Payne, Laura Jean Edelen, and Darlene Edelen; 6 brothers-in-law: Harvey, James, Roscoe and Charles Edelen, William Kirby, and Roger Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, co-workers and friends.
