Christopher L. Barrett's Obituary
Christopher Lee Barrett, 47, passed away following a brief illness on May 15, 2025 in Annapolis, Maryland.
Chris was born in Annapolis, MD, on April 10, 1978, and from a young age, he brought warmth, laughter, and kindness to all that knew him. Chris attended both South River High School and Annapolis Senior High School, where he graduated in 1997. He then began working for the family printing company, Barrett Printing Company, for a few years and then went on to work for multiple landscaping companies. In 2005 he was offered the opportunity to work for Maritime Autowash as a Manager, where he worked for 15 years. His dedication & work ethic was visible to all that knew him. He thrived during those years and genuinely loved creating relationships with all the customers as well as the staff. Always aiming to please everyone, he would make sure all the customers were satisfied.
He was known for his generous spirit, quick wit, gentle nature, and his deep love for his family & friends. He touched countless lives through his dedication, compassion, and sense of humor. He loved the outdoors and always preferred working outside. He had a love for all animals especially his cat, Gypsy. He enjoyed watching football and cheering on both the Baltimore Ravens as well as the Washington Redskins. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his niece & nephew, Kylie & Mikey.
He is survived by his parents Scot and Bonnie Barrett, brothers Matt Barrett and Mark Barrett, sister Barbara Barrett, niece Kylie deSabla and nephew Michael deSabla; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Reginald & Angela Barrett, Albert & Betty Storton and Dorothy Lockett.
Family & friends are invited to a visitation & service on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 3-5pm at Lasting Tributes Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. Following the funeral service, please join us for a reception to share memories and celebrate Chris’ life at Yellowfin Steak & Fish House, 2840 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, Maryland 21037 from 6-8:30pm.
