Charlotte Arlene Dye's Obituary
Charlotte Arlene Baldwin-Dye of Annapolis, MD formerly of Bowie, MD died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the age of 70. She was born on October 13, 1943 in Renick, WV. She graduated from Renick High School in 1961. After graduation she moved to Washington, DC where she worked as a secretary for DC Transit and The American Trucking Association. In 1964, she married her husband of 49 years, Ed Dye. She is survived by her husband Ed, their children Derek Dye, Noel (Kevin) Kowalczyk, and two grandsons; Seth and Gage Kowalczyk. She was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Baldwin-Gartley.
Charlotte had extensive experience working in the field of real estate settlement. She was an active supporter of the Bowie Lions Club. After her retirement, she was able to travel and enjoyed summers in Ocean City with family and friends. Charlotte never met a stranger and had a warm and friendly personality, which was admired and loved by all that knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Charlotte’s honor at the Crofton Country Club, 1691 Crofton Pkwy, Crofton, MD 21114 on Friday, May 30, 2014 from noon until 4pm. Final internment will be a private ceremony at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Charlotte’s honor to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
