Charles "Charlie" Galloway's Obituary
Charles Galloway, 71, was born on June 14, 1943 to the late Elijah and Alene Galloway in Annapolis, Md. Affectionately known as Charlie, he gently closed his eyes and went to eternal rest after the angels whispered in his ear and said, “Charlie it is time to go home and be with Jesus Christ.”
Charlie was educated in Anne Arundel Public Schools. He worked in construction and enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, playing cards, checkers, and watching the Grandchildren.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Elijah Galloway Jr., and four sisters: Eleanor Pindell, Alene Galloway, Agnes Galloway, and Lelia Norris.
Charlie leaves to cherish his loving memories, one sister: Mary E. Simms, two brothers: Richard (Yvonne) and Mack (Mary) Galloway. A step-mother Catherine Galloway, step brothers: Vernell and Frank Mackell, and a step sister: Juanita Booze.
Charlie leaves a life partner of 44 years, Shirley Howell. He was a nurturing father figure to Reginald A. Hicks (Donna) and became the best Grandfather to Thias Hicks, LaToya Hicks, and Michael Mullins. He was a great-grandfather to Markel Brown, Robert Harvey III, Ja Marion Downey, K’Dien Harvey, and Joella Mullins. He also leaves a loving extended family of nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
