Dear Kelly, George, Kristin and James: I was very fond of Carolyn. I always enjoyed the family times when she and I (not forgetting my sister and brother-in-law) represented the oldest generation. She and I shared some giggles! I love Cameron's words: Carolyn was "cheerful, funny, and classy".

To Carolyn's Family. I was so, so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. I was a classmate and high school sorority (Theta Beta Phi) member with Carolyn and had many, many happy memories of parties with friends at her house in Olde Severn Park. In later years we kept in touch and got together for lunch with several other classmates every couple of years. We did manage a River Cruise in Europe together with another classmate. She loved living at Ginger Cove and especially loved reading to the sight impaired. She was a hard lady to keep up with, always somewhere or doing something for others. Dear Kristin, Kelly and family: I was saddened and shocked to hear of your mom's passing, especially since I saw you all only a couple of weeks ago at the funeral at St. John's Church. I am so very sorry. My memories go back to the summer, long ago, when I spent a few weeks at your house. Was I kid-sitting or house-sitting? Probably a combination of both. I enjoyed that time with you in your home on the Severn. Later on it was great to have Kristin join us at Severn School for those happy years. God bless you all as you work your way through this sad time in your lives.

Dear Kelly, Kristin and Family, It was with great sadness to hear of the passing of such a wonderful person, friend and classmate of Annapolis High School 1956. She was always ready and willing to help you with whatever you needed. Since our graduation I have kept our classmates informed with a Christmas letter attached with a memorial of the names of those who have passed on, coordinating all the reunions, luncheons, and Christmas dinners. She attended when she could and always made everyone feel special! She will be missed dearly, with her infectious smile, and her presents. All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Bill and I want to send our sincere condolences to you and your families for the death of your Mother. She was a person that no one could ever forget! When we first moved into Round Bay, she was one of the first people to go out of her way to welcome us into the community and to include us in the “Beach People Group”. We spent many Wednesday mornings at the beach setting up the swim meet roster, while our kids swam in the river and wondered if they were going to get lunch!
My most vivid memory of her was during one of the sailing lessons provided by Bob Johnson during August. Each student brought a suitable boat to Edgewater pier at 9 AM and the lessons began. After several days of lessons, the kids tried out their new found skills in the river, 2 to a boat. One of the boats capsized and could not be righted, so your Mom and a couple of others sailed out to the distressed boat and “rescued” the crew and the boat. Your Mom called her group the “Frick and Frack Rescue Team”. She was such a fun person!

I am so sorry for your loss. I truly loved your Mom. She was a cheerful, funny, classy lady. She set a fine example for all of us to live life to the fullest, with grace and humor! I am so glad she was able to spend holiday time with all of her family. I am holding you all in my heart.
