Carolina Kuhnen's Obituary
Carolina A. Kuhnen, affectionately known as Lenny by her family and friends, passed away at age 82 in November 2021. Having been a child in Europe during WWII, she vividly remembered the resistance efforts of her father as well as the hardships suffered by those around her. Later, as a teenaer In the 50s, she emigrated with her parents and siblings from the Netherlands to the U.S. As a typical teen in the U.S., she adored Elvis. As a typical immigrant to the U.S., she went to work early in life. Eventually she attended school to be a beautician (hair stylist) but shortly thereafter married, adopted a son, and stopped working. Divorce forced her back into the workforce, primarily in manual labor jobs, which she accepted with no complaints. A long-time Upstate NY resident in the village of Bath, she moved to Maryland late in life to be closer to her son. She is survived by her son, Mark, and her siblings Elizabeth, John, and Tony. Be at peace, Lenny
