Terry And Betsy Scott Morton
Carol made many and varied contributions to Colonial Players. In the management of the organization, in the technical and artistic side and especially in her Directing, development and encouragement of talent in others. She was always available to help and did so with grace, charm and great efficiency. Never going where she sensed it was unnecessary, but always finding useful ways to contribute. She helped me tremendously during my times on the Board, in my technical, artistic and Directorial contributions .... and in such an easy and supportive way. All of the plays she directed were of excellent quality: all statements of the level of professionalism that C.P. strives to attain.
Betsy and I moved from Annapolis some 8 years ago and had not worked with Carol for some time before that; but of all of the people that I knew and worked with over some 40 years at C.P.; Carol Youmans was among the two or three most significant contributers to the organization. A pleasure to know and work with her ..... she will be greatly missed and will always engender fond memories of someone who cared.
