He leaves to treasure his memories: his father, David H. Mackell; wife, Sharon Mackell; daughter, Terrae Brown (Gary); son, Terry Bright; his sisters: Wanda M. Mackell and Daveen L. Green; his granddaughters: Jazmine Gray, Jayla Brown, and Kyanna Bright; his nieces: Jenean Perry and Jan Cutler; nephews: Jum-mor Mackell, Steven W. D. Mackell, Parren and Garrett Green; his mother-in-law, Sylvia McKenney; brothers-in-law: Kirby and Ray McKinney; and a host of other relative and friends.
He attended schools in Anne Arundel and received his GED in 1972. He previously worked at the US Naval Academy and Eastport Liquors.
Carlton was a people person. He enjoyed dancing, football, playing cards, gambling, and many other things. (smile). He was affectionately called “the Funeral Man”. If he knew you, he would see you to the end. He didn’t miss any funerals, unless he hadn’t got the word. Then he would lay you out for not telling him. He had too many friends to try to name them individually. We know, and he knew who you are.
