Carl Dee Mahr's Obituary
Carl D. Mahr, age 76, from Arnold, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on October 22nd, 2015.
Originally from Seaford, Delaware, he played football for Seaford High School and graduated in 1956. He married his high school sweetheart, Nora Lee Whaley on July 5th, 1958. He was a volunteer firefighter for several years. He was hired by UPS on their first day of business in Delaware and retired as a manager 30 years later. He enjoyed boating, fishing, beating everyone in Dominos and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted Christian and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1973.
He is survived by his best friend and wife Nora Lee Mahr of Laurel, Delaware, his daughter Sandra Mahr, his son Dean Mahr, daughter-in-law Lynn Mahr, his granddaughters Meredith A. Mahr-Edmunds, Holly Mahr, Hope Latham and her husband Patrick Latham, IV, his brothers Chris Mahr, Bruce Mahr, Bill Mahr, and his sister Vicky Pfeifle.
Services will be held on Friday, October 30th, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church located at 1300 West Street, Annapolis, Maryland 21401 at 11:00am, reception to immediately follow. Rev. Christopher Owens will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida, 32256 or at woundedwarriorproject.org.
