Brenda L. Johnson's Obituary
Brenda Lee Johnson was a light in every room she entered. Born on July 20, 1959, in Annapolis, Maryland, to the late Mary Brown and Clarence Forrester, she lived 66 beautiful years before answering God’s call on June 15, 2026, and entered eternal rest.
Brenda’s life was shaped by kindness, joy, and a deep love for the people around her. She was educated in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools and later devoted many years to serving as a crossing guard—protecting children with the same care and attentiveness she showed her own family. Her work was more than a job; it was an extension of her generous heart. To know Brenda was to know warmth. She had a smile that could soften the hardest day and a personality that drew people in effortlessly. Family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Whether she was watching her favorite soap operas, enjoying Lifetime movies, or preparing for Sunday school and church, Brenda embraced life with a gentle enthusiasm that made others feel at ease. She loved dressing up for special occasions, and her favorite color—light blue—reflected her calm, peaceful spirit.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her adopted mother, Marion Howard; and her sisters, Mary Mason, Barbara Johnson, Edna Williams, and Pearl Diggs.
She leaves behind a legacy of love carried by her brothers, Mark Reed (Sandra) and Jose “Rich” Parker (Francine); her sisters, Sharon Carter and Geraldine Butler; her aunt, Bessie Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
Brenda’s life was a testament to kindness, faith, and quiet strength. Those who loved her will continue to feel her presence in every smile, every shared story, and every moment of grace she leaves behind.
