Brenda Joyce Amos' Obituary
Brenda Joyce (nee Parks) Amos, age 78 of Milford, DE and formerly of Annapolis, MD, passed away on February 3, 2022. She was born in Annapolis on July 8, 1943 to Lawrence E. and Charlotte (nee Whitaker) Parks. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her daughter Kathryn Amos Teufel. She is survived by her husband, James Amos Sr., her son James Amos Jr. (Vicki), and her daughter Margaret Amos Dudek (Alan). She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Ashley, Jessica (Steve), Gregory, Jimmy, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Rachel and Emma; and her two great-grandchildren: Sonny and Noah. Her loss will also be felt by her sisters Janice Harman and Charlotte Parks, sister-in-laws Ellen Klimes (Bobby), Kathryn Miller (Richard), Alice Powers (Tom), and Margaret Ann Murphy, along with many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Brenda worked as a Bank Teller at Farmer’s National Bank in Annapolis (later in the proofs department at BB&T) until retirement. She loved her dogs, reading romance novels, cooking food for and with her family, crocheting items for her friends and loved ones, watching game shows and Hallmark movies, and going out to dinner with family and friends. She also enjoyed planting flowers and recounting family stories to her grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Lasting Tributes, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 from 6-8 pm. Her funeral will be held at Lasting Tributes on Thursday, February 10 at 10:00 am, with a one hour visitation prior, beginning at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
