Billy Dove's Obituary
We are saddened by the loss of our dad who passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014.
He was a loving husband, wonderful father and the best Grandpa ever.
Dad had a long and distinguished career as Chief of Army Sports; served two consecutive terms as President of USA Boxing; and was inducted in to the Maryland Boxing Hall of Fame. He was a kind and generous man whose charm, warmth and humor won him countless friends at home and across the globe. Dad touched the lives of so many people from all walks of life – friends, colleagues and the many soldiers he mentored and guided throughout his career.
He will be terribly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Dad is predeceased by our beloved mother, Patricia Ann Dove and his memory will be lovingly embraced by his children Gary (Holly), Kevin, Kim, Dede (Faye) and Debbi (Bill); his grandchildren Billy and Kristi (Eric); his great-grandchildren Kyle and Julian; and his devoted sisters Leona, MaryAnn, Jeannine and their families.
