Beverly Matthews Good's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly Good announce her passing on January 28, 2021, in Annapolis, Maryland at the age of 52. Beverly was born on June 18, 1968 in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents Peggy Jordan and Gerald Matthews. She graduated from West Georgia College with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, and is a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, where she earned a Masters Degree in Homeland Security and Defense Studies.
Beverly was a career member of the Senior Executive Service and served as the Director, Field Operations, Baltimore. Prior to this position, she served as Port Director for the Port of El Paso for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). A career civil servant, Beverly was very devoted to the CBP mission and immensely proud of the men and women under her command. She loved her family, and especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Beverly genuinely loved and cared for those around her. Her infectious personality always brought joy and laughter to her family, friends, and colleagues. Her favorite color was purple and she loved to break out in song and dance. She often said, “I wear my heart on my sleeve.” Beverly was a true Georgia peach!
She is survived by her husband: Kelly Good; daughters and their spouses: Chelsea and Landon Archibeque and Courtney and Nick Anziano; grandsons: Anthem Jake Archibeque and Wesleigh Kellan Anziano; granddaughter: AnnaBelle Rose Archibeque; her father: Gerald Matthews and step-mother Janet Matthews; her mother Peggy Jordan: sisters and brothers-in-law: Teresa and Mitch Henry, Jennifer and Jeff Johnston; brother and sister-in-law: Jason and Jenna Jordan; brother: Steven Jordan, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother Jerry Matthews.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 8, 2021, from 5pm to 8pm at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home, 10170 Hwy. 19 N. Zebulon Rd, Zebulon, Georgia 30295.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 11 am at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 1177 GA Highway 109, Molena, GA 30258 with Pastor Mark Harris officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Woodbury Cemetery, Memory Lane, Woodbury, GA 30293.
