Betty Lou Marcian's Obituary
Betty Lou Marcian, of Annapolis MD., a caring wife, friend, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away September 5th 2022, at the age of 91 years, at Hospice of the Chesapeake, in Pasadena, MD. Born July 21, 1931. in Detroit, Michigan. Her father was Andrew Ferguson and Leoma Ferguson was her mother.
She was married for 63 years to her husband Norbert Frank Marcian, a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, who passed away in August 2013. Betty is survived by her children, Debra (husband Kurt), Michael (Carolyn), Douglas (Marion), and John (Rachel), as well as her 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
During her remarkable life Betty traveled the globe and lived for a number of years in Manila, the Philippines, where she raised four children and became a gifted painter and artist. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, entertaining her family and friends in her home in Heritage Harbor, Annapolis.
A devout follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ and an ardent student of the Bible, she was a trusted member of Women of Legacy and Prayers for Israel. Betty was a devoted member of Bay Area Community Church. Her faith in God and devotion to her family will never be forgotten.
Following a private family Burial a Celebration of Life will be held September 16th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at the Bay Area Community Church at 884 Chesterfield Rd., Annapolis MD 21401
