Bessie Gordon Burns' Obituary
Burns, Bessie Gordon "Gammy" 98, formerly of Charleston S.C., beloved wife of the late retired Navy steward 1st class Robert Burns, was called home on November 22, 2013 due to natural causes.
Bessie was the daughter of the late George Gordon and Bessie McFadden-Gordon. In 1927 Bessie moved to Annapolis, MD where she graduated from Bates High School.
She leaves behind three daughters Denise Burns of Annapolis, MD, Dorothea Sullivan and Daphne Gordon both of Baltimore, MD. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10am. A funeral service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be at Bestgate Memorial Park.
