Benjamin Stanley Davis' Obituary
Benjamin S. Davis, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Future Care of the Chesapeake in Arnold, MD. He was born on November 30, 1923 in Kennett Square, PA. Ben received an undergraduate degree from West Chester State College, Pa and a graduate degree from George Peabody College, TN. He was employed as a teacher, school principal, and assistant superintendent in New Castle, DE. Once retired, Ben and his wife moved to Rehoboth Beach, DE. There he continued to pursue his passions of tutoring young people, enjoying art, singing, and volunteering, mostly at the Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Rehoboth Beach Library.
Ben is predeceased by his wife of forty-four years, Ada P Davis and his son Hugh F. Davis. He is survived by his two daughters, Denise Hill and her husband Steve, Naida Omholt and her husband Tom, three grandchildren and one great –grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park, MD. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
