Beatrice W. Jones' Obituary
Bowie, MD—Beatrice W. Jones, 89, most recently of Bowie, Maryland, and a former long-time resident of Norfolk, VA, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 30.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Zedic R. Jones, Sr.; her first husband of 35 years, Gilbert A. Padgett, Sr.; and a son, Gilbert Alan Padgett, Jr. She was also predeceased by her parents, Willie Sam and Carrie Campbell Willis; three brothers, Willie Sam, Jr., Raymond, and Jarvis Willis; and two sisters, Eula Mae Willis Hooker, and Carolyn Willis Raynor, all of Rocky Mount, NC., where Mrs. Jones was born and raised.
Left to cherish her memory are a step-son, Randolph Jones and wife Virginia, of Bowie, Maryland, a step-daughter, Dora Fix and husband Louis, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Rosewood Memorial Park on Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA at 1:00 p.m. The service will be officiated by The Reverend Elwood Long and her nephew, Dr. Paul Hardy. Interment to follow the service.
