Aubrey Cleophus Ellis ( Big Cle) 70, of Hanover, Maryland died May 15, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born to the late Benjamin and Gertrude Ellis, October 15, 1947 in Birmingham, Alabama. Aubrey graduated from A.H. Parker High School in 1965. He relocated to Washington, D.C where he met and married Delores Evans in 1967, and they have three children. He attended Prince George’s Community College and then began his career at the United States Postal Service. He worked for the U.S.P.S for forty-three years; he retired in 2010. Aubrey was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He loved his family dearly. Aubrey loved to play softball with his friends and coworkers. Aubrey was an honorable man, with a heart of gold. He was the life of the party! When he walked into a room his presence was known and felt by everyone. He had the gift of gab and loved to make people laugh. Aubrey loved spending time with his family and friends. He leaves behind to cherish his memory and celebrate his life his loving and devoted wife of fifty years Delores J. Ellis; three children Hope, Aubrey M., and Ian; eight grandchildren Jordon, Aubrey D. (Daniel), Aja, Eryn, Ayanna, Eve, Briana, Natalie; one great-grandchild Aiden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
